Negative sentences (〜ません)
This lesson teaches how to make negative sentences.
In the previous lesson,
you learned the ます form.
This lesson is very simple.
Rule
ます → ません
That alone
makes a sentence negative.
Examples
たべます → たべません
I eat → I do not eat
はしります → はしりません
I run → I do not run
…Wait?
Is it already over?
Yes. It’s over.
Why is this lesson so short?
In this lesson,
there is only one thing to learn:
Change ます to ません.
That’s all.
On this site,
simple grammar is taught simply.
We believe this is
the shortest route to passing JLPT N5.
Many learning sites
explain even simple topics
with long and detailed lessons.
This is often because of a common belief:
“More information means more value.”
This is a natural human reaction.
But let’s be honest.
Reading long explanations
can feel exhausting, right?
Our approach is different.
•We do not add unnecessary information.
•We do not confuse learners.
•We do not slow you down.
Our only goal is:
To help you pass JLPT N5 easily.
That is why
this lesson is short.
Let’s move on to the next lesson.
