〜ではありません（否定）
1. What is noun negative?
Japanese uses 〜ではありません to make a negative sentence.
It means “is not / am not / are not.”
■Structure
Noun + ではありません
This is the polite negative form.

Just change 「です」 to 「ではありません」.
わたしは がくせいです。
I am a student.

4. Important note
「では」 can be shortened to 「じゃ」 in casual speech.
Example:
わたしは がくせい じゃありません。
I am not a student.
※ In JLPT N5, 「ではありません」 is preferred.
